bridging cultural divides in business"

With the extraordinary rate of failed overseas assignments, our experts will present a summary of important human resources management considerations when sending ex-pats or 3rd country nationals overseas.

Barbara Boyd Cohen, Vice President, Consulting at Treyburn Human Resources Group 

Barbara is an accomplished Human Resources executive and consultant working across multiple industries including financial services, biotech, research, manufacturing & distribution.

Born and raised in Boston, MA, Barbara moved to Texas in 2001. She spent time as a specialist in all areas of HR, and ultimately went on to head up the Global HR function of Brown Brother Harriman, the world's largest, privately owned bank.  Since moving to Texas, Barbara has applied her HR expertise to a variety of businesses, from start-ups, to national, multi-site organizations.

Barbara holds a B.A. in Psychology from Reis college and attended the Boston College graduate business program.  She received her SPHR certificate fro the HRCI and is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).







Ken Cage, Principal, Treyburn Human Resources Group

Ken is an innovative, global executive with an established record assisting industry leading employers meet their business objectives by maximizing the contributions of a strategic human resource function.

Following graduation from Law School, he demonstrated continued success with Oscar Mayer, Frito-Lay, Payless Shoe Source, Eastman Kodak, the Chemical Lime Company and DynCorp International and has worked in North and South America, Europe and Asia.

Comfortable in a board room or on the factory floor, Ken brings realistic Human Resource solutions. He possesses exceptional skills in all areas of HR including talent management, employee relations, training & development, compensation and benefits. Over his thirty-year career, he has developed expertise in rapid corporate growth, mergers & acquisitions, change management and organizational effectiveness, including lean management and quality improvement. One key to Ken?s success has been his ability to develop and deliver strategic labor / employee relations initiatives.

Ken holds a B.S. in Finance and a J.D. in Law from Indiana University. Ken is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
