Title: How To Pay for Long-Term Care
Featured Speaker: Marcie Johnson, The Johnson Firm, PC.
Marcie Johnson is a partner with The Johnson Firm, PC., located in Richardson, Texas. She concentrates in Elder Law, Medicaid and VA Pension. She also handles probate, trust administration and guardianship and works closely with clients to implement estate plans. Marcie graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Marcie is a VA accredited attorney by the Department of Veterans Affairs and was named one of D Magazine’s Best Lawyers in Dallas 2016 and 2018.
Marcie is a published author, writing several books on Medicaid planning and Veterans Pension Planning. She presents regularly to community groups across North Texas and was a guest presenter at the AICPA & CIMA national elder planning conference in 2019 addressing how to pay for long-term care utilizing Medicaid and VA Pension.
Marcie is an active member of her community having served on the Board of Directors for Network of Community Ministries in Richardson, Texas, and on the Board of Directors for the Leadership Richardson Alumni Association. Marcie actively participates with the Dallas Women Lawyers Association and serves as a Fellow of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Foundation.
In her spare time, Marcie enjoys music, camping, hiking, water skiing, and interior decorating.
